This certification highlights understanding of some of the basic tenets and skills of architecture whether your current role is development or business focused. This achievement begins the journey for those wishing to pursue an externally certified architecture career.

Path to Certification
This certification begins your Iasa career path journey. We recommend all students become familiar with the BTABoK prior to taking Iasa Aspiring level courses or sitting the certification exam. No prior certification or experience is required.
Arc4Dev – The Archiecture for Developers course, developed by a community of practicing Iasa certified architects, introduces the basics concepts and skills of architecture to benefit your current career as a developer or to begin your career as an architect. This course prepares you with the material needed for the certification exam.
Following successful completion of an Iasa Aspiring level course you will be provided with 2 months access to the online (open book) exam. Iasa recommends also familiarizing yourself with the BTABoK as part of this process. Certification is provided for students achieving 70% or higher pass rate.
The Aspiring level does not require CEU’s to maintain the certification, however you must maintain an active full Iasa membership or your certification will lapse.

Board of Education
The Iasa community is at the forefront in providing the most relevant skills training, best practices and business technology strategies. Courses and certification examinations are overseen by an independent Iasa Board of Education, a volunteer, member-based board of certified architects responsible for setting the global curriculum, certification and education policies.
