Hybrid Infrastructure

Hybrid Infrastructure

This comprehensive 5-day Hybrid Infrastructure Architecture Course is tailored to equip IT professionals, architects, and business leaders with the skills needed to design, implement, and manage hybrid infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives. Integrating concepts from the BTABOK (Business Technology Architecture Body of Knowledge), participants will gain an in-depth understanding of both the technical aspects of cloud architecture and how to develop a strong business case for cloud transformation.

In Module 1, participants will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of hybrid cloud architecture, focusing on public, private, and hybrid cloud models. The lessons will explore the benefits and challenges of each cloud architecture, with a specific emphasis on Tinkleman’s needs for scaling customer-facing systems and improving transaction processing. Participants will also learn about the design principles behind cloud infrastructure, setting the foundation for designing an initial hybrid cloud strategy. The day culminates with a workshop where attendees will apply these concepts to create a high-level hybrid cloud strategy for core systems.

Module 2 dives into the hybrid service models – Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) – and their roles in scaling Tinkleman’s order processing infrastructure. Participants will explore how each service model supports different operational requirements, enabling greater flexibility, scalability, and efficiency. Key lessons include understanding the appropriate use cases for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS within Tinkleman’s architecture. The day’s workshop will focus on designing a cloud service model implementation plan that addresses the scalability needs of Tinkleman’s systems.

In Module 3, participants will focus on securing hybrid cloud solution while ensuring compliance with data protection laws and GDPR. Lessons will cover the unique security challenges faced in hybrid cloud environments, such as identity and access management, network security, and continuous monitoring. Participants will also gain a deep understanding of GDPR compliance, and the measures required to protect customer data in a hybrid cloud model. The workshop will involve developing a security and compliance framework for Tinkleman’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring data protection and risk mitigation.

Module 4 addresses the human dynamics of cloud adoption, focusing on organisational change and capability development. Participants will explore cloud adoption frameworks and how Tinkleman can implement these strategies to ensure smooth integration of cloud technologies. The lessons will cover change management, communication strategies, and how cloud adoption affects roles and skills within the organisation. The workshop will involve developing a cloud adoption strategy that prioritises human factors, creating a comprehensive plan for upskilling employees and managing organisational change.

In the Final Module, participants will shift their focus to financial modelling and business case development for Tinkleman’s hybrid cloud implementation. Lessons will cover different financial models, including the shift from CapEx to OpEx, and strategies for cloud cost optimisation. Participants will also learn how to build a robust business case for cloud adoption, highlighting the cost efficiencies, operational benefits, and long-term ROI. The day’s workshop will culminate in the development of a comprehensive financial model and business case for Tinkleman’s cloud strategy, ensuring that the proposed solution aligns with business objectives and delivers measurable value.
