History & Vision

Founded in 2002, Iasa Global is the world’s leading professional association for technology and enterprise architects. Iasa is the preeminent knowledge-based association focused on the BT architecture profession through the advancement of best practices and education while delivering programs and services to develop highly qualified BT architects of all levels.

As the world’s largest professional non-profit membership association for all Enterprise, Business, Software and BT Architects, Iasa has spent nineteen years performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of individuals’ architect skillsets, and organizations’ architect deployment models. From a community of over 80,000 architects in more than 35 countries, Iasa has aggregated this information into actionable best practices, skills and capability taxonomy, role definitions and career path which has been adopted by many organizations worldwide.

Iasa is the only organization in the world that can provide this sophisticated service in a vendor and technology agnostic environment.

The Iasa community is at the forefront in providing the targeted skills training, best practices and business development strategies. Our academy of courses and certification examinations are led by the Iasa Board of Education, which is a volunteer, member-based board of certified architects who are responsible for setting our global curriculum, certification and education policies.

In addition, aspiring architects, architect practitioners and communities working with architects are offered lifelong learning, sharing best practices and challenges through Iasa local chapters and interest/focus groups. Many chapters offer Iasa’s services delivered by local practicing architects for the benefit of the entire local architect community.

Iasa offers tailored corporate annual packages for organizations of any size with the goal of building an architect center of excellence. Organizational programs can include architecture practice assessment, training, learning resources, access for architect team members to the local chapter and global Iasa communities.
