It involves developing a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s processes, capabilities, and people to identify and implement strategic improvements. principles, and benefits.

Lifecycle and Concepts

This lesson introduces the business architects work deliverables and lifecycle. Dive into the world of a business architect day to day. What are the key deliverables we will be learning in class and how do they relate to each other. Learn to master key concepts for business architecture and to adapt to different ways of working.

Lesson 3

Industry Analysis

Explore the essence of strategy, a guiding compass in the realm of business, and its pivotal role in shaping a robust Business Architecture. Delve deep into the importance of conducting secondary research, encompassing industry insights, company dynamics, and the evolving tech landscape, all of which are integral in crafting a comprehensive Business Architecture.

This lesson illuminates the nuances of crafting such a strategy and introduces participants to the renowned MIT Sloan Operating Model, a blueprint that guides the alignment of operations with strategic intent, ensuring a cohesive and efficient Business Architecture.

Value Streams and Value Chains

From a Business Architecture standpoint, participants will use value streams and value chains to understand both their internal and external value creation models. This leson connects the concept of business model with value creation models in business ecosystems.

Lesson 7

Capability-Based Transformation

Delve into the intricacies of Business Architecture with a focus on crafting a Capability Architecture, a structured representation of an organization’s abilities. From a Business Architecture vantage point, participants will master the art of designing a Capability Models. The ability to connect these to value measurements, roadmaps and change management is also highlighted.

This lesson emphasizes the significance of these frameworks in articulating business goals, measuring outcomes, and ensuring value realization, all central to crafting a resilient and impactful Business Architecture.

Organizational Dyanamics

This lesson guides participants through the process of identifying and mapping key stakeholders using diverse models, building out intricate networks of influence, and crafting detailed personas. Driven by the BTABoK unique Stakeholder Driven Approach.

Lesson 10

Business Process Management

Embark on a deep exploration of Business Architecture with a concentrated focus on the heartbeat of any organization: its Processes. This lesson offers participants a comprehensive understanding of how to define and map processes, the structured sequences of activities that transform inputs into outputs.

Lesson 11

Technology Landscape

From a Business Architecture perspective, participants will gain proficiency in utilizing BDN for Master the application of change management for principled assessments, integrate IT strategies for technological coherence. This ensures the creation of Business Architectures that are principled, technologically aligned, and strategically delivered.

Lesson 12

Digital Customer

Embark on a comprehensive exploration of Business Architecture, emphasizing the pathways that customers traverse and the value they derive. Explore beyond the customer journey into jobs to be done, value mapping, customer driven innovation, capturing the essence of user interactions, and ensuring optimal value flow. This knowledge equips them to design architectures that resonate deeply with customer needs while optimizing business value delivery.

Innvation Management

What is innovation really and how does it impact a business? This lesson will help the business architect master innovation, lean change and customer-centric design. The goal of this lesson is to aid the business architect in developing a streamlined innovation and idea management workflow and world view.

Tranformation and Change

Venture into the transformative facets of Business Architecture, where strategic planning meets execution. This lesson encompasses the design of a Transformation Plan, the art of planning and optimizing portfolios, and th critical components of Risk and Change Management. Together, these elements form the backbone of a resilient Business Architecture, ensuring organizations are primed for change and future growth.

Lesson 15

Execution and Changed

This lesson guides participants through the creation of IT Scenarios and the art of crafting a compelling Business Case. It also connects Solution Architects and Architecture to the full business architecture lifecycle. This allows for the business architect to function as a fully effective member of the architeture practice from strategy to execution.

World-Class Architecture

This lesson focus on connecting business architecture programs with the overall value of the organization and the overall architecture practice.
